Academic Success Proposal: Final Draft
This is an academic success proposal. I wrote this paper during my first week of Composition II. The purpose of this paper is to explain my academic struggles and to provide credible evidence to support my solutions. The topic is procrastination and solutions for how I will deal with it.

A precise description of the problem
There are two main things I struggle with daily regarding my academic goals. The first thing is the fact I do not manage my time efficiently, and the other is I procrastinate. These two problems play a significant role when it comes to my academic goals, and both could potentially set me up for failure. I work full-time as well as being a full-time student. Lately, it has become extremely hard to balance both of those duties. Between working the hours 7 am to 5:30 pm, I do not get home until 6 pm every night. That roughly leaves me with 4 hours to complete school work, care for my five animals, eat, and shower. With such little time, it's challenging to complete my daily tasks which is the reason I procrastinate and why it is so easy for me not to use my time wisely.
A clear and compelling solution to the problem
The first thing I need to do is recognize my priorities. It's very important that I use my time wisely. I can create a plan of specific times to complete my tasks daily. I also need to become more organized and self-disciplined in order to become successful.
Evidence that your solution will address the problem
The CFI website (Time Management 2022) stated it's important to “prioritize tasks based on importance and urgency.” They also said it's important to stay organized and “start every day with a clear idea of what you need to do and what needs to get done THAT DAY.”
According to the article Time Management for students: 10 strategies and Tips To Build Your Focus (MacKay, 2020), The key to managing your time is to create a daily schedule, set proper goals, and build better habits or routines for long-term success.
Acknowledgment of other possible solutions
It is also possible that I could switch from full-time to part-time at work. I could work fewer hours or even have a day or two off strictly for school work. That would give me plenty of time to prioritize and complete the tasks I have planned for that day. One other option I have would be to ask my family and friends for some help. I live alone so I in fact have multiple duties to complete every day just at home. My dad lives within walking distance away from my house. I could even ask him to help me on the nights I have school work to complete. When I work late he could let my animals outside along with feed and water both my 2 dogs and 3 kittens, that way I have one less thing to worry about when I get home. I can strictly focus on my school work. I have the option to eat with my family as well so I will not have to take the time to prepare myself a meal while I am on a time crunch.
A statement of what the proposal will accomplish
I realize now I have many options and very few excuses as to why I can not complete my school work on time. My academic goal at the moment is to get accepted into nursing school in January but to do so I have to have good grades, and in order to have good grades, I have to use my time efficiently and not procrastinate. With all of the possible solutions that are listed above its become very clear to me how important it is to plan ahead and be organized. I now believe I can become successful and reach my goals with the right planning.
